Objectives:
- Develop conscious awareness of the various defending positions
- Test and improve the quality of the frontal defending position
- Improve your pressing technique and defending technique
Procedure
- Coach passes the ball to the attacker
- Attacker tries to dribble past the defender and score goals by crossing the line (between the cones)
- Defender tries to win duels and prevent goals
Variety
- The attacker has no/low speed to practice pressing technique
- The attacker has (high) speed to practice defending technique
- The defender can execute a counter attack and score goals by dribbling over the attacker’s line
Organisation
- Keeper + 1 vs. 1
- Pitch size 30 m x 15 m + 16m
- Attacker starts at 30 m and defender starts at 16 m
- Coach has the balls at 16 m
